Howdy Family and Friends!

It seems like life is so busy these days between my photography buisness being full time (which I absolutely LOVE), school (don't love so much...lol), family life, and my favorite subject...Grant at 22 months old. :) It seems like for the last month we haven't had a chance to just have a day out for the two of us. So, I decided to take Friday (July 15) off and have a fun day with Grant at the Louisville Zoo.

We are Zoo members so we go at least once a month and love it! This trip was no except. It was awesome, but wore us both out! LOL! I believe we spend a little over 4 hours at the zoo exploring everything and also playing at the splash park. :) There was even a brand new baby giraffe to watch and enjoy. :)

I let Grant lead the pace...so if you know a 22 month old... they stop to look at every rock along the way. LOL! What a great reminder to stop and "smell the roses." We all need to slow down and enjoy our little ones more. I'm blessed to be a stay at home mom, but even with that there is little time to have full fun play days in the midst of all the work too. I just wanted to share a few pictures I took during our visit to the zoo. :) I hope that you enjoy!

Happy Easter Family & Friends! I hope you're having a beautiful morning so far! I've been up since 3am for some reason cleaning! LOL! I believe in taking full advantage of the urge to clean when it happens... about every 3 months. LOL!!! :)

The Easter bunny has delivered the goodies to our house and I can't wait for Grant to wake up and find them. :) I will post pictures or a video later of Grant with his Easter basket and some from our Easter celebrations.

Some of you probably don't know if you aren't on my FACEBOOK that Stephen had knee surgery this past Thursday. He's doing well, but can't really get into the Easter fun as much as he would like. I will post more about his surgery later.

Hello Family & Friends! I just wanted to make a quick little blog update. Grant turned 16 months on August 23, 2010! I took him to the doctor on December 28th. His stats:

Weight: 23lbs. 13oz. (He's in the 30th %tile)
Height: 33.5" (He's in the 97th %tile)

So, you can tell from his stats that he is very tall and skinny. He runs circles around me all of the time...I'm sure that has something to do with his weight. LOL!! The doctor said that he looks great and is growing wonderfully! :) Hooray for good news!

Today we celebrate Grant’s 1st Birthday! It is so hard to believe that it has been a year already! He has changed so much and grown so fast. I think it’s hard to see your babies grow up and you know after the 1st birthday that all of the other ones will come quicker and faster. Grant is such a sweet, funny, handsome, and intelligent little boy. And the list goes on and on… :)

I loved the cuddles when he was a newborn, but these days are so much fun! His 1st word was mum-mum, his 2nd word was dad-dad, and his 3rd word word was book! :) He sat up on his own at 5 months, crawled at 9 months, and started walking at 10 months! Now at 1 year he is starting to run! Of course, we seem to have what seem to be permanent bruises on his head from learning and falling! LOL! Poor baby boy! He keeps us moving and his laugh make my soul smile! I’m so proud to be his mommy!

I wanted to share a video I put together of small clips from throughout his first year of life! I hope that you enjoy it and it will allow you to reflect back on your own little ones if you have them. :)

We hope that everyone got their invitations a few weeks ago and will be able to join us for Grant's 1st birthday party! It's amazing how fast the 1st year has went. It's sad to see him grow so quickly, but so exciting at the same time to see his funny and wonderful personality come out! :)

The party theme is going to be "UNDER THE SEA!" We've ordered 4 dozen balloons, bought decorations, I've made the centerpieces and other decorations, we've got the list of food and games, etc! It should be a blast! :) Here are a few pictures that we're using as our inspiration for the party! :)

Wow! Where did the time go! I can’t believe Grant is already 10 months old and will be a year old in less than 10 more weeks! My baby boy is growing up so quickly. It’s such a pleasure to be this little guys mommy. He keeps me on my toes these days and makes me laugh constantly! :) I just wanted to share a few pictures recent pictures of him with you and an adorable video I took on Monday of him. His little laugh melts my heart!! Love it!! :)

Howdy Family & Friends! I just wanted to make a quick post sharing some of the photos and videos from our trip to Florida. We went to Seagrove Beach, Florida. Thank goodness the oil had not reached the Florida beaches yet by this point. :) It was absolutely beautiful! We had a great trip & have memories to share for a live time. This was our first week long trip away with Grant. He did amazingly well & is the best little traveler! :)

Wow! Grant is turning 6 months old already! What an adventure it has been thus far. :) We love every second of our little guy. He is growing and changing so quickly. I feel like I'm constantly trying to capture these precious moments on film. Stephen and I are cherishing his baby years!

It's amazing how he is coming in to his own personality! It is a strong one for sure! LOL! Please check out our little video to celebrate Grant's life in the first 6 months! Life has changed so much, but we can't imagine life without our miracle baby! :)

Grant’s 1st NBA Game! Go Pacers!

Once we left Lilly's birthday party in Crothersville, IN... we headed up to Indianapolis, IN. We met Grant's Uncle John & Aunt Alisa for his first Indiana Pacers game. It was so much fun! We think Grant really enjoyed it! Especially the lights and everything going on...he even slept through a part of it. LOL! I'm sure he will cherish the above picture forever. I asked the Indiana Pacer Cheerleaders if they would take a picture with him. They instantly wanted to hold him! They kept saying how beautiful he was and all that fun stuff. :) It was a great game and a great success for Grant's first big public event. :) Thanks for inviting us John & Alisa.

Grant’s 5 month appt & Dr. Cobra

Grant's Pediatrician...Dr. Cobra

Grant went to his pediatrician yesterday for his 5 months shot. We were so thankful that we found a doctor in our area that believes in the Alternative Vaccine schedule. :) This was extremely important to us and Dr. Cobra is absolutely wonderful! Grant weighed in at 16lbs. 12oz. & was 26 1/2" long yesterday! :) What a big boy! He's in the 75%tile for length & 50th%tile for weight.

Here is a little information about Grant's Pediatrician...

Dr. Cobra is originally from Fredericktown, Ohio. He attended Ohio University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters Degree in Developmental Neuroscience.
He received his medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his pediatric residency at Kowari Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Cobra is married to Adina, and they have three children, Mitchell, Avery and Hayden.

My baby boy is a month old today! It has been one crazy month...that is for sure! I really need to take the time to sit down & let you all know why I haven't had much time to stamp or keep up with anything. LOL! I know I haven't even told you the birth story! Grant arrived a MONTH EARLY! My water broke at home and I had 22 hours of full labor, 1 1/2 hours of pushing, then his head was stuck at the pelvic bone and I had to undergo a c-section. They had to knock me out during the c-section because I could feel every cut! :( It has been a rough recovery for sure! I've also been battling an infection from my c-section and an awful case of postpartum depression. :-( It's been a hard month, but an amazing one at the same time! :) Here is a little slideshow of some pictures from the past month. I think I've taken over 200 and some in his first 30 days of life! LOL!!! :) ENJOY!

Happy Wednesday, Friends! :o) Well, FIVE years ago today I married my very best friend! I made the video with some of our wedding/honeymoon pictures a few months ago, but we are celebrating our anniversary today. Since I'm on bed rest and everything this year...we will be spending a lovely evening inside. Oh well...it has been raining cats & dogs all day. LOL! We're having homemade lasagna for dinner and Stephen got us a little cake for dessert. Yummy! :o) He asked me last night what I wanted for my anniversary this year. My reply was, "We're having a beautiful little boy in 5-7 weeks...that is our anniversary present this year." LOL! :o) Life's wonderful & I wouldn't change it for the world!

It is gearing up to be a crazy rest of my pregnancy! I went back to the doctor Monday morning. Thank Goodness my blood work shows that my liver is still functioning correctly and I do not show signs of Preeclampsia at this point. But... I'm still at higher risk of developing it since I have been diagnosed with prenatal hypertension!!

So, I'm on modified bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy! I've been teaching Stephen & family how to fill orders and run the company since each and every week could bring something new for me. I go to the doctor weekly from here on out. I'm on blood pressure medicine now and we're hoping it kicks in and allows Grant to bake a while longer. The doctor said our first goal is to get to 34 weeks. Most babies born at that point do very well apparently. Our main goal is for me to make it to 37 weeks. I'm going to guess that Grant will be born the first week of September... if all goes well. So, I'll be doing what I can from the couch and bed. I can sit at my desk for short periods of time. I'll keep you posted on what else happens. Oh and I do not have to do the 3 hour glucose!! Thank Goodness for NO gestational diabetes! :)

Rough Day... Possible start of preeclampsia!

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to update you on what's been going on with me. I haven't been feeling so great the past few days. I took my blood pressure this morning and it was 141/80! I about freaked out! So, I relaxed and thought it would go back down and it was still 145/76 an hour later.

Later in the day I ended up running to Walmart with my friend, Stefanie, to get baby shower favors for my baby shower this coming Sunday. Well, while we were there I started to get dizzy and she had me take my blood pressure there to check on it. Well, that time it was 147/87! So, I called my doctor and of course they wanted to see me immediately! I started crying in the middle of Walmart and poor Stef was trying to get me to calm down. LOL!

So, at the doctors office my blood pressure was still high. I did the urine sample which was negative for protein...good sign. They had me lay on my left side for 25 minutes. When they checked it again... it was 117/70. Which is awesome! My doctor comes in and she is worried about me and said she wants to be overly cautious that I'm not developing preeclampsia. :( So, I go in Wednesday morning for my glucose test and several other blood tests to check for preeclampsia. I also have to do a 24-hour urine collection and I'm on bedrest! Fun Fun Fun! It's so scary! I'm just praying so hard that this little boy is doing okay and that he comes when he's ready and not because I've developed preeclampsia. We have another appointment Monday morning to get the test results and I guess we'll go from there.

Wonderful Birthday & Sneak Peek at Baby Grant

Happy Wednesday, Friends! :o)

Well, I had a perfect birthday yesterday. It all started at 9:30am when we had a 3D/4D ultrasound. We got to see our baby boy again. He looks perfect and we got some great pictures and little video clips (which are above). I think he might have my nose, but over all... I think he's going to look like his daddy! :o) Guess we'll find out in a couple of months. LOL! My mom & little sister (she's almost 22 & in Pharmacy school...not so little any more) were able to join us for the ultrasound. Which was really nice since it was my birthday. Then last night Stephen's mom & dad brought over a cake & ice cream to celebrate my birthday. I just love them to pieces. It was a great 26th birthday!!! :o)

OMGosh! Only 99 more days until our due date! What an amazing milestone in my opinion. When I found out that we were pregnant again... I couldn't even imagine making it to 99 days or the 3rd trimester. I feel so blessed and thankful that God has given us this little boy.

I'm getting bigger & bigger...which makes it hard to get out of chairs and bed these days. My feet swell on 90 degree days & heartburn kicks in at 3am most mornings. LOL! But, to feel him kick and flip is the most amazing feeling in the world. One that I hope every woman has the chance to experience.

I will be considered full term in only 11 more weeks! We can make it! I keep telling myself that daily! Well, here's to 99 more days! Praying that it goes fast & we don't hit many bumps along the way!

Busy... but Awesome Week!

Happy Thursday, Friends! :-) I hope you're having a great day. I know I need to get back into my stamping. It has been a super busy week. I had my last class for the semester this morning! SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER! WOOHOO!!! :o)

So, Yesterday was our BIG ULTRASOUND. This baby was NOT wanting us to be pushing around. LOL! After about 20 minutes of pushing (I'm bruised from the pushing on my belly...LOL!) the finally showed us, IT'S A BOY!!! :o) OMG! Such a cool experience & one I will never forget! I started crying during the ultrasound when we we looking at his little hand and he was waving at us. :-) I couldn't help it... it made it so real. It cracked me up because his head is up about 3" above my belly button already! No Wonder I've had strange pains up there. The ultrasound lady said, "He is kicking your bladder so hard!" Well, I always feel him kicking my bladder. No Wonder I always feel like I need to go to the bathroom. LOL! He already weighs 11oz. and the doctor said he looks completely healthy! :) Stephen is ecstatic about having a little boy & was smiling ear to ear!

I guess this little boy decided he would wake up at 2am and kick me like crazy. I was up from 2am-4am this morning feeling him have a party in there. LOL! I normally sleep straight through the night, but not last night...which was okay by me since I'm just so happy to have a healthy baby. Praying it stays that way! :)

After my last test for the semester... I headed on over to Kohls for their 55%-60% off sale on baby clothes. I got some really good deals for cheap. I will buy most of the clothes at yard sales, but I was so excited I just felt the need to buy boy stuff! I LOVE dinosaurs, frogs, and turtles...so I had to get that stuff. Then Stephen played baseball from t-ball through high school & then played for a league in Louisville, KY. So, I bought a few little outfits that were baseball inspired! :-) Well, I guess I'll stop talking on. LOL! Can you tell I'm excited?! LOL! I'll post the video or pics of the baby stuff I got this morning...later today! :)

Baby Closet Dividers

Happy Sunday, Friends! =) Well, here is about as crafty as I'm getting the past few months. LOL! I've been wanting to make some of these little closet dividers. I really don't want to have to look at the tag every single time I want to grab an outfit for baby. =) Can you tell everything so far is gender neutral... white, yellow, and green. LOL! 9 days and it will be pink or blue! =) Oh, guess what... I put the crib together all by myself yesterday! Stephen was passed out asleep and his allergies have been really bad the past few days. I didn't want to wake him up, but I didn't want to wait any longer either. LOL! I did it without directions (because we didn't have any) and it looks great! =) Who said pregnant moms can't get it all together?! LOL! I'll post some photos below of the crib finished, bedding, and some stuff my mom found for me at a yard sale yesterday! =)

What you need to make the baby closet dividers:

chipboard
chipboard #'s
ink pen
razor blade
ruler
tombo mono glue
scrapbook paper
ribbon
scissors

I used a ruler and a pair of scissors to make the tag the size I wanted. Then glued the chipboard down onto some scrapbook paper with my Tombo Mono Multi Adhesive. Added some chipboard letters...wrote out "months" with a black ink pen. Then I made a hole to put the ribbon through. Super easy, quick, and fun! =)

Boy or Girl?

Howdy Friends! =) So, we have about 10-11 days until we find out if we're expecting a baby boy or baby girl! Can't wait! Well, hopefully our baby works with us and we get the money shot. LOL! So, I posted this video on Youtube and asked the fun question... What Do You Think? Boy or Girl?!

I had some pains this past week and the nurse said it was probably just Round Ligament Pains. Never knew they could be so bad! I'm doing great the past few days... after having a few days on bed rest, but all is fine! =) We are having a nice bonfire tonight... so I guess I better go! Have a great weekend! I promise I'll try to post something craft related soon!

Spring Photos & 16 week doctors visit

Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you're having a great day! I'm freezing my tail off here in Southern Indiana! LOL!! It was 72 degrees here yesterday! Today... 38 degrees!! No wonder we are all sick! LOL! I just thought I'd share some spring photos with you that I took April 1st & then the fully bloomed photos were taken yesterday (April 5th). We spent the morning and afternoon at the Charlestown State Park yesterday. We decided to get subway and head on over... it's only 2 minutes from our house. Winston LOVES going out there and running like crazy! LOL! =) It was a beautiful day and I can't wait until Tuesday or Wednesday this week when we get that weather back!

So, I had my 16 week doctors appointment last Friday! The baby is doing great!!!! Stephen finally got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time. He/she has a very LOUD & strong heartbeat. The doctor said it is still in the 150's!! I made the doctor guess boy or girl! She thinks it's a girl! LOL! I'm so EXCITED that we get to go back on April 29th for our Big Ultrasound and find out the sex of the baby. That is if baby will work with us that day! LOL!! =) I can't wait!!! I'm counting down the days!! 22 days to go from today! hehehe!!

Our Baby's Bedding

Happy Sunday, Friends! Sorry I don't have a new card for you today. We are getting ready to head up to my Nana's house for the afternoon. I asked her to make her yummy potato soup for me! I LOVE anything potato these days! LOL! I'm 14 weeks pregnant today and happy that things seem to be going perfectly. My mother-in-law even mentioned that I was starting to show some at the party yesterday... which made me extra happy. LOL!! So, I thought I would share with you the bedding that Stephen and I picked out. We LOVE it!! We're both science majors and just love animals. This will work for a boy or a girl and I wanted something a little gender neutral. I've heard of two people in the last 6 months or so... that were told they were having a boy or girl... and the doctors were wrong! I really don't want that to happen and then have everything in pink or blue! Only 5-6 more weeks and we will know if we're having a boy or girl! Can't wait! Well, have a great weekend!!
